What Is Allied Health?

Allied health professionals are not doctors or nurses; however, they work closely alongside them to develop plans to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Our dietician, diabetic educator, exercise physiologist and physiotherapist work tirelessly to prevent, diagnose, and treat various health conditions and illnesses.

Dietician
Our dietician meets with new and expecting parents looking to develop a diet plan to aid with breastfeeding infants and children. We also welcome patients looking to lose or gain weight, improve their health or manage medical conditions related to diet.

Diabetic Educator
Diabetes educators provide support and education to patients who have been diagnosed with diabetes. You will learn to self-manage your condition and improve your overall quality of life.

Exercise Physiologist
Exercise physiologists use a therapeutic approach to improve health, illness management and treatment outcomes for people from all walks of life.

Physiotherapist
People of all ages can seek the services of a physiotherapist to address health problems including injuries sustained in sports, musculoskeletal conditions and chronic illnesses like diabetes, obesity, osteoarthritis, and stroke.

Mental Health & Care Plans

If you have an ongoing medical condition, you may be eligible for a care plan. A care plan will help you to coordinate your condition’s care with an allied health professional—whether it’s our dietician, exercise physiologist, physiotherapist or diabetic educator. Being put onto a care plan means that a portion of their fee will be covered by Medicare, thus, becoming more affordable for you!

Similarly, if you suffer from a mental health condition or disorder such as depression, anxiety or PTSD—our mental health plans can allow you to have up to ten visits with a psychologist. Medicare will cover a portion of the fees.

Make an appointment with our doctors today to determine whether you qualify for a care plan or mental health plan.
